Morning Pig Chores: A Behind-the-Scenes Ride Along

Curious about what it's like to do morning chores on the farm?
Watch the above video. I'll take you along as Eddie, Aaron and I go out to the pastures for our morning pig chores.
As we do the morning chores and wrap up, we'll:
- Fill buckets and containers with feed for the pigs. We use a non-GMO grain mix of barley, corn and soybean meal.
- Load the feed up into the truck and drive out to the pasture.
- Transfer the feed to the four-wheeler and take it out where the pigs are.
- Pour the feed on a nice, clean area of the ground so they don't squabble too much.
- Show you their current pasture where they'll spend the rest of their day foraging and the pasture they'll be moving to in a week.
- Give you a look at the boys' favorite snack during their chore break
- Head over to the pasture with our sows and boar to give them their morning feed.
- Take a peek at what Nettie's been preparing for dinner while we were gone.

As always, eat well and stay healthy!
