Our New Favorite Meatloaf
When you take ordinary meatloaf, fine tune the spices and then cut the ground beef with ground pork, you get a family favorite. Perfectly seasoned with a burst of rich juiciness from the added ground pork that makes it hard to stop eating. It is also so easy to make! So, go grab a pound of 100% grass-fed beef and our delicious pastured pork, make a pan of this and watch the reaction of your family (or yourself).
  • Prep Time:
  • Cook Time:
  • Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • (1 lb) Ground Pork
  • (1 lb) Ground Beef
  • (1) Onion, diced
  • (3 cloves) Garlic
  • (1 tsp) Sea salt
  • (1 tsp) Black pepper
  • (1/4 tsp) Thyme
  • (1/4 cup) Ketchup
  • (3 Tbsp) Olive oil
  • (3) Eggs
  • (1/2 cup) Quick oats
  • (2 Tbsp) Worcestshire sauce

Directions

  1. In a saucepan on the stovetop, sauté onion until soft. Once the onion is soft, add finely minced garlic and spices. Keep the heat low so the garlic doesn't burn.
  2. Add ketchup and continue cooking on low for three minutes or until thick and saucy. Remove from heat and cool a bit.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together 100% Grass-fed ground beef and Ground pork. Add all remaining ingredients, then your sauce.
  4. Mix well for three to four minutes to make the mixture nice and tacky.
  5. Preheat oven to 400 F
  6. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf or what we have done is a big ring in a baking pan. (image)
  7. Bake at 400 F until center temperature reaches 160 F or about 25 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and enjoy with your favorite side of veggies or potatoes!
