This classic "Sunday supper" roast is often braised or prepared in the slow cooker. However, it's also extremely versatile. Chuck Roast is our personal favorite for budget steak sandwiches. It's also a favorite choice for beef stroganoff, beef tacos, Irish stew and many other comfort foods.
A big, thick cut of meat, chuck roast has a big, beefy flavor brought out with slow cooking methods. Because the cut comes from the shoulder area, it has a lot of connective tissue and collagen that needs to break down and melt into the meat. Once cooked, the meat pulls apart into tender and delicious chunks.
As with all our beef, the meat is 100% grass fed and finished. The cattle are ethically raised foraging on the open pastures of Green Fire Farm. No grain supplements. No antibiotics or chemicals.
