Our pigs are humanely raised outdoors on pasture and in wooded areas. The enjoy sunshine and root in the soil. And are able to forage for a diverse diet of plants and insects, plus get a daily supplement of non-GMO grain. The beneficial nutrients and fat from their pasture diet remains, for the most part, in the meat. And you can taste the difference even in the fat.

Compared to conventionally raised pork, pasture-raised pork contains less saturated fat and more heart-healthy polyunsaturated fats. It has a lower ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 polyunsaturated fats. Plus higher levels of vitamin D and vitamin E. And because they exercise a lot more than pigs raised in confinement, pasture-raised pigs have better muscle development, resulting in higher protein content.
